We are seeking a proactive subject matter expert (SME) in IT identity & access management to help design, implement, and support hybrid cloud identity & access management solutions for our global law firm.

You will be an experienced yet ambitious engineer and keen to keep up with the latest developments in the cloud landscape.

Role and Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver third-line technical support for identity & access management.
  • Act as technical lead for identity & access management on projects.
  • Monitor for and identify, analyse, and resolve or remediate incidents and risks.
  • Keep track of upcoming changes in the product stack, including new or changed features and planned maintenance and raise accordingly.
  • Improve security posture including Microsoft Entra Secure Score.
  • Design and configure Conditional Access policies.
  • Configure and migrate single sign-on (SSO) to third-party business applications with Microsoft Entra ID.
  • Configure integrations with third-party applications (application authentication and service accounts).
  • Collaborate on BAU with other internal IT teams including information security.
  • Participate in an on-call rota to support critical identity and messaging services.

Skills and Experience

  • Experience of administering a hybrid identity environment utilising Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID as part of a broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
  • Proficiency with PowerShell scripting to manage Entra ID and M365 suite.
  • In-depth experience of configuring multi-factor authentication (MFA), Conditional Access, and self-service password reset.
  • Understanding of various authentication methods and 'Passwordless' authentication options.
  • Understanding of M365 admin role assignments, use of administrative units, and Privileged Identity Management.
  • An appreciation of the key concepts of the principal of least privilege.
  • Awareness of the identity and access lifecycle in Identity Governance.
  • Use of Entra ID Entitlement management capabilities including Access packages and Access reviews.
  • Understanding of guest/external access and cross-tenant access concepts in Microsoft Entra.
  • Experience designing and implementing any of the above would be even better.
