This role sits within the International HR Operations team based in Birmingham city centre. This is a hybrid role, with a current requirement of working 3 days on site in the Birmingham Office.

Reporting into the Senior HR Service Excellence Manager, the role of the HR Projects Manager will lead and manage international people related projects including annual and cyclical events such as the firm's promotions process, supporting on pay review and partner performance reviews as well as one off business delivery / strategic projects.

As a confident communicator you will be pivotal in organising and supporting at high profile meetings with senior HR management and executives of the firm, together with providing accurate information, reports, updates and managing actions for any specific project as requested.

Key responsibilities for the HR Project Manager role are to:

  • Define, manage and deliver projects and initiatives to a high standard within the defined time frames
  • Plan and execute concurrent activities to prioritise key deliverables
  • Collaborate and be the main point of contact for internal HR stakeholders (e.g. HR Business Partnering Team, Talent Team, Reward Team etc) and external vendors to help shape projects and build strong relationships
  • Drive the application of governance across projects
  • Have a continuous improvement focus and mindset
  • Develop and execute communication plans ensuring that all stakeholders are kept regularly up to date
  • Have the ability to identify risks ahead of time and to manage/escalate as appropriate
  • Influence stakeholders and facilitate discussion to achieve desired outcomes
  • Use knowledge of data and analytics to influence decision making and to provide status updates
  • Lead on key cyclical activity owning them in their entirety ensuring that any trackers are up to date and accurate
  • Proactively keep ahead of any key/critical milestones in the process, being prepared well in advance and keeping stakeholders informed and updated
  • Identify opportunities to streamline or automate some of the inefficient or manual/paper based elements of any of the processes supported
  • Act as an escalation point for project related enquiries or concerns and resolve these effectively updating any key stakeholders on outcomes
  • Work closely with the Senior HR Service Excellence Manager on additional HR Service projects which will add value to firm

We'd like to speak to candidates who hold the following skills and experience:

  • Experience of working in an international HR Shared Service team in a large multinational organisation
  • Strong HR administrative experience, specifically with a background of carrying out detailed, complex processes, collating information, and pro-actively chasing employees or stakeholders for information
  • Experience of organising and hosting high profile meetings, taking actions, and providing information or explaining content or structure of relevant documents or processes during meetings
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of project management in an HR environment
