Job Description
The purpose of this role is to assist in the design and implementation of a closed-loop automation strategy across various business processes. This project aims to automate critical processes using digital twins and self-driving labs concepts. The individual will design robotic systems for desired functionality, train end users of software, and solicit continuous feedback for seamless interaction with digital twins and self-driving labs concepts.
- Design the architecture for the closed-loop automation systems, which includes both the robotic systems and the software integration with digital twins and self-driving labs.
- Ensure that the design meets all technical and business requirements.
- Create a system architecture design document that provides a detailed blueprint of the system's components and their interactions.
- Identify technical specifications that outline the hardware and software requirements, performance criteria, and compliance standards.
- Design, build, and maintain robotic systems tailored for the specified automation processes.
- Prototyping, iterative testing, and refining the robotic systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Deliver fully functional robotic systems that have been tested and validated for operational use.
- Prepare maintenance documentation that includes procedures for regular upkeep, troubleshooting, and repairs.
- Create technical drawings and schematics that provide detailed visual representations of the robotic systems.
- Conduct comprehensive unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing of both the robotic systems and the software to ensure they meet all project requirements and perform as expected under various conditions.
- Create test plans that outline the objectives, scope, and methods for testing the systems.
- Identify detailed test cases that specify the conditions and expected outcomes for each test.
- Author validation reports that summarize the results of the tests, including any issues found and resolutions implemented.
- Track bugs and issues in logs that document all identified problems and their status.
- Install and commission the automated systems within the business processes, ensuring they are fully operational and integrated with existing workflows.
- Provide support during the initial deployment phase to address any issues.
- Create a deployment report that documents the installation process, any challenges encountered, and solutions implemented.
- Prepare installation guides that provide step-by-step instructions for setting up and configuring the systems.
- Continuously monitor the performance of the automated systems to identify areas for improvement.
- Optimize the systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and performance based on collected data and user feedback.
- Create performance reports that analyze system metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Determine optimization plans that outline the steps to enhance system performance and efficiency.
- Maintain system logs and monitor data that provide insights into system operations and any issues encountered.
