Tecna, as a part of Eurofins Technologies multi-national network, has the goal of developing and validating reliable industrial solutions for food safety assessment. It has been producing several immunoassays based on different technologies since 25 years, and keeps growing its catalogue portfolio with novel assays and applications to cover the food industry necessities of analysing chemical contaminants in ingredients and finished products. Applications need to be fast, easy, reliable and possibly safe for the personnel involved in routine implementation of analysis. In other words, the sample preparation and contaminants extraction from food matrices must be arranged through robust, simple and quick procedures, being ideally able to extract multiple contaminants in one single preparation, and being solvent – free or at least non-toxic.

Job Description

Position Title: Network Engineer

Reporting To: Network Team Lead, Food, Feed & Agro Testing Europe

Geographical: India

Reporting Location: India

Working Location: Chennai, India

Overall Objectives: As a member of the IT Infrastructure Support Team at Eurofins Food, Feed & Agro Testing Europe, you will join a growing international crew to work on the maintenance of recently deployed segregated IT User Zones and Application Availability Groups. Your role will involve supporting daily operational tasks, including designing and implementing new infrastructure or migrating existing network components in line with current standards. You will collaborate with various IT Support and Delivery Teams daily, which will require networking and network security skills. An open mind and the ability to cooperate with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds are essential.

Specific Assignments:

• Support and maintain current IT User Zones and IT Application Availability Groups network infrastructure.
• Design, plan and implement network IT Infrastructure for transformation / integration / segregation throughout Food, Feed & Agro testing businesses across Europe. These projects will be aimed to perform installations, configuration, and migrations of enterprise-level network IT infrastructure systems from legacy to the new solutions.
• Propose and deliver solutions that best meet the business needs in terms of security, cost, and bandwidth.
• Work close with Server, Cloud, Application team members do deliver the IT Infrastructure as wider project. Act based on the end-to-end view of the infrastructure.
• Document the solutions delivered.

Required Skills:

An ideal candidate should possess a minimum of 8+ years of experience in most of the following areas:

• Next Generation Firewalls (FortiGate), NSE4 level.
• Hands-on experience on Checkpoint Firewall.
• Experience in Azure Networking e.g. VNET, VNET Peering, Azure Load Balance, RTT & NSG.
• Hands-on experience in maintaining network components (Firewalls, Switches, Wifi AP, VPN, SD-WAN) including firmware upgrades and downgrades.
• Proficiency in various protocols: TCP/IP, SNMP, 802.1Q, STP, SSLVPN.
• Familiarity with FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiSwitch, and FortiAP.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and create technical documentation for delivered solutions.
• A collaborative team player who can effectively work with cross-functional teams.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
• Strong presentation skills to communicate technical projects effectively in meetings.
• Cisco switches administration
• Experience with protocols such as DNS, DHCP, NTP, and HTTP.
• Hands on experience in automation related to network tasks. (Any language)

Any of below skills would provide a significant advantage:

• Knowledge of dynamic routing such as BGP, OSPF, etc.
• Fortinet certifications / training (NSE4, NSE5, NSE7).
• Quality of Service (QoS) implementation.
• Experience in C# or phyton.
• Cisco Certification (CCNA, CCNP)
• Experience in network monitoring site24x7.
• Experience in ticketing tool –BMC Helix.
