Tecna, as a part of Eurofins Technologies multi-national network, has the goal of developing and validating reliable industrial solutions for food safety assessment. It has been producing several immunoassays based on different technologies since 25 years, and keeps growing its catalogue portfolio with novel assays and applications to cover the food industry necessities of analysing chemical contaminants in ingredients and finished products. Applications need to be fast, easy, reliable and possibly safe for the personnel involved in routine implementation of analysis. In other words, the sample preparation and contaminants extraction from food matrices must be arranged through robust, simple and quick procedures, being ideally able to extract multiple contaminants in one single preparation, and being solvent – free or at least non-toxic.

Job Description

Overall Objectives: As part of the IT Infrastructure Support Team for Eurofins Food, Feed and Agro Testing Europe, you will join a growing international team responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automation solutions across the IT landscape. Your primary focus will be on Azure Automation, in-house automation platforms, and custom automation workflows that enhance operational efficiency and service reliability. You will support daily automation operations and contribute to the development of new automation capabilities, including the integration of existing infrastructure components into automated processes. This role involves close collaboration with various IT Support and Delivery Teams, requiring a strong understanding of PowerShell, Azure Automation, API integrations, and workflow orchestration. An open mind, proactive attitude, and ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment are essential.

Specific Assignments:

• Design, implement, and maintain automation solutions for IT User Zones and Application Availability Groups within the Azure Cloud and on-premises environments.
• Lead automation initiatives as part of IT Infrastructure Transformation / Integration / Segregation projects across Food, Feed and Agro Testing Businesses in Europe.
• Develop and deliver automation solutions that align with business needs, ensuring optimal security, cost-efficiency, and operational effectiveness.
• Collaborate closely with Cloud, Compute, Network and Application teams to deliver end-to-end automation solutions as part of broader infrastructure projects.
• Document automation workflows, scripts, and solutions, and support the transition of automated services to regional teams during the final stages of implementation.

Must-Have Skills:

These are essential requirements for the role. Candidates must demonstrate strong proficiency in these areas to succeed.

PowerShell Scripting and Automation:

• Proficient in PowerShell for infrastructure automation, including scripting for Azure resource management, Microsoft 365 tasks, and API integrations.
• Experience building and maintaining automation workflows, such as runbooks in Azure Automation.

Net Development with Blazor:

• Solid experience with C# and .NET Core/Framework for building REST APIs, custom tools, applications, and dashboards.
• Hands-on expertise in Blazor (Server-Side) for creating interactive web UIs, including integration with MudBlazor components for modern, responsive interfaces.

Nice-to-Have Skills:

These skills are helpful and will make candidates more noticeable, but they are not required.

Azure DevOps and CI/CD:

• Familiarity with Azure DevOps Pipelines for implementing CI/CD processes, automated testing, and deployment of .NET applications

Azure Cloud and Infrastructure Knowledge:

• Familiarity with Azure services like App Services, Cosmos DB, and Networking (VNETs, Subnets, NSGs) for hosting and securing applications.
• Basic understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform for provisioning resources.

API and Integration Experience:

• Knowledge of REST APIs and Microsoft Graph API for automating tasks in Microsoft 365 and Azure AD.
• Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible (optional but beneficial).

Identity and Security:

• Understanding of Active Directory (AD) and Entra ID, including role-based access control and security best practices.

General Skills:

• Ability to read, understand, and create technical documentation for delivered solutions.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
• Comfortable presenting technical projects and solutions in meetings.

Additional Advantages:

• Python scripting for infrastructure automation.
• Familiarity with AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service).
• Other cloud vendors experience (AWS, GCP etc.)
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or Grafana.
• Familiarity with BMC Helix or other ITSM platforms for automation of service management workflows.
• Experience with event-driven automation using tools like Azure Event Grid, Logic Apps, or Functions.
• Experience with automating identity and access management tasks using MS Graph API and Entra ID.
