Job Description

Operate 20L stainless steel bioreactors and ensure smooth fermentation processes via DeltaV and DCU automation systems for efficient bioreactor control

Operate Ambr250 and ensure smooth fermentation processes

Equipment troubleshooting

Write and develop SOPs

Support scale down projects of bioreactors for microbial cultures

Work in a BSL-1 and BSL-2 level environment

Use biochemical analyzers (YSI, OD, pH, off-gas mass spec, RAMAN spectroscopy)

Manage chemicals, supplies, inventory, and ensure safety regulation compliance

Statistical data analysis and results/conclusion presentation

Off-shift work (nights/weekends) may be needed occasionally to help support runs

Qualifications

M.S. in a scientific or engineering discipline that incorporates biology and chemistry coursework

Prior experience with microbial cell culture/fermentation

Prior experience with aseptic technique

Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm.

Off-shift work (nights/weekends) may be needed occasionally to help support runs
