Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our Intium team within the Customer and Commercial division. This role involves planning and executing complex engineering projects with a high degree of independence, originality, and technical expertise. You will lead a discipline group of engineers, overseeing the development of high-quality designs and collaborating across teams to deliver innovative solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities include technical leadership, design certification, site assessments, detailed engineering calculations, and mentoring junior engineers.

You are a proactive and experienced engineer with a strong background in electrical design and a passion for innovation. You thrive in collaborative environments, possess excellent communication skills, and are committed to continuous professional development. About your skills:

You bring strong technical knowledge of HV and secondary systems, electrical power systems, and renewable energy connection assets. You are proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, DIgSILENT, and Power Factory. Your skill set includes feasibility assessments, compliance audits, and quality assurance. You have excellent negotiation and influencing abilities, can manage multiple complex tasks, and adapt quickly to change. Your creative mindset and strong interpersonal skills enable you to present complex concepts to diverse stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Engineering meeting Engineers Australia or Washington Accord standards
• Valid driver's licence
• WorkCover NSW Construction Induction Certificate
• Maintenance of all necessary regulatory, industry, and business certifications

Desired experience:

• Practical experience in design and construction
• Knowledge of EV charging infrastructure design
• Familiarity with Australian and International Standards and Codes of Practice
• Experience directing and reviewing external project designs
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation and policies related to design and specifications
