Working as part of an established design for manufacture team with responsibility to assess and influence the design and engineering of the product, focused on improving the quality, cost and time required for manufacturing to produce future vehicles.

You'll also be responsible for completion of targeted studies to compare feasibility of different concept proposals for key components/areas, including recommendations for concept selection.

You'll need knowledge and experience to carry out interior design for manufacture relating to interior wood, instrument panel and console systems, with both engineering and manufacturing capabilities.

The role will be KPI driven with progress measured against an agreed set of targets, for e.g. timing/tasks against plan, generation of project status updates, part/assembly/process issue reports and summary sheets as well as other key performance metrics.
