Epos Now Cloud Pos And Embedded Finance Platform
Role purpose: Lead sustainable test automation and quality enablement across squads. Focus on framework health, flakiness reduction, faster feedback, and reliable CI/CD—not feature-only testing.
Key responsibilities:
- Own and evolve UI/API/integration automation frameworks.
- Reduce flakiness; speed up and stabilise GitLab CI pipelines.
- Define and champion automation standards and code reviews.
- Balance test pyramid; improve regression efficiency and feedback loops.
- Add quality gates to CI/CD; partner with engineers to shift-left.
- Instrument quality signals; contribute to safe releases (flags/canaries/rollbacks).
- Coach engineers/QAs; run workshops.
Tech environment:
- Stack: Golang, C#, React (TypeScript)
- Platform: AWS, Kubernetes/Helm, Terraform
- CI/CD: GitLab CI
- Tooling: Playwright/Cypress, REST/contract tests (Pact), k6, OTel/Prometheus/Grafana, Sentry.
Minimum qualifications:
- 4+ years in QA automation or SWE with strong CI/CD automation.
- Built/maintained UI and API frameworks (TS/JS, C#, or Go).
- Proven flake reduction and pipeline reliability improvements.
- Solid testing strategy (risk-based, pyramid/trophy).
- Docker, basic AWS, and strong collaboration skills.
Nice to have:
- Fintech/POS experience, Pact, k6, Terraform/K8s, security/PCI awareness, test analytics dashboards.
KPIs (6–12 months):
- e2e flake rate <1%; CI pass rate ≥99%; faster pipelines.
- Shorter regressions via better pyramid and risk-based selection.
- Increased automated coverage on critical paths; fewer escaped defects.
- Standards adopted by 2+ squads.
