Student Employee - Digital Marketer
Ensign College is seeking a Digital Marketer to support a strategic outreach project focused on increasing local enrollment. This position offers a valuable opportunity to build professional skills, gain mentorship, and apply digital marketing strategies and tactics in a purpose-driven environment that values education, faith, and community.
As a Digital Marketer, you will collaborate with the Strategica and Ensign College marketing teams to strengthen Ensign College's online presence and support our mission to develop capable and trusted disciples of Jesus Christ who are professionally prepared. Your work will directly contribute to improving access, awareness, and connection with Hispanic communities across Utah.
Responsibilities:
- Support the development and execution of digital marketing campaigns with a strong focus on content creation across social media, email, and web platforms.
- Assist in managing and updating digital content (particularly video content), ensuring accuracy, brand consistency, and an optimized user experience across all platforms.
- Create, schedule, and publish engaging content using social media content calendars to maintain a consistent and authentic online presence.
- Monitor and report on digital performance metrics to evaluate campaign effectiveness and recommend improvements.
- Contribute to the planning and execution of digital advertising efforts, including paid digital and display campaigns.
- Participate in creative brainstorming sessions and provide innovative content ideas to enhance marketing impact.
- Stay informed on the latest digital marketing trends, tools, and best practices to help evolve campaign strategies.
- Provide occasional administrative support to ensure smooth project coordination and team collaboration.
Qualifications:
- Be currently enrolled as an Ensign College student taking at least 6 credits and in good academic standing.
- Completed a certificate in Digital Content Creation; currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred to support culturally relevant content creation.
- Strong interest in digital marketing and content strategy, with a desire to learn and grow in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment.
- Proficiency in major social media platforms and familiarity with tools such as content schedulers and email marketing platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft engaging and audience-appropriate content across digital channels.
- Basic understanding of performance analytics and ability to interpret data to inform content decisions.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple content projects and deadlines.
- Proficient with productivity tools such as Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace; experience with design tools like Canva, Adobe, or similar platforms is a plus.
- Preferred: Video production and editing experience (working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro or other video editing software).
This is a short-term (1-2 semesters), project specific position that may qualify for an academic internship. The schedule will be 19 hours per week with flexibility to work some hours remotely. The position offers valuable hands-on experience in digital marketing strategy, content creation, and community outreach, directly supporting Ensign College's efforts to better engage with local Hispanic students.
