Manufacturing Engineer

This position collaborates in the development of manufacturing processes for the engineering area, can collaborate with the implementation of continuous improvement projects for the improvement of production areas.

Obligation and essential responsibilities:

• Collaborates in the development of robust manufacturing processes, visual aids, work methods/instructions, rework plans, solves problems through engineering techniques (line balancing, 8Ds, among others).
• Supports the execution of validation protocols (IQ, OQ, PQ).
• Provides support in the first runs in production.
• Assists in the follow-up to NCMR/CAPAS and achieve closure to all actions in a timely manner.
• Participates in the design of assembly teams, ergonomic workstations, fixtures and tooling for assembly and subassemblies.
• Contributes to the achievement of established objectives.
• Participates in continuous improvement projects in conjunction with OPEX (Operational Excellence).
• Maintains documentation (GMP) in accordance with ISO13485, FDA and other applicable regulations to manufacturing processes.
• Adheres to the procedures and standards of operation (SOP) of the manufacturing engineering functions.
• Mentor of level 2 and level 1 engineers for the development of skills as a mentor in knowledge of improvement projects, as well as the structure.
• Ability to have people in charge as a project leader and execution of savings projects.
• Proposes, controls and follows up on projects, using project management techniques such as WBS (Work Breakdown Structure).
• Develops, implements and follows up on productivity projects focused on improving efficiency on the production line.
• Develops, implements and follows up on scrap reduction projects that improve the cost of the finished product.
• Identifies needs and justifies capital investment (CAPEX) for the replacement or incorporation of new technologies that optimize efficiency and productivity, ensuring the safety of employees.
• Presentation and follow-up of project progress to management and/or senior management.

Minimum requirements:

• Professional career in Industrial, Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or related
• 6+ years of previous experience in the area of Manufacturing Engineering in the maquiladora industry.
• Advanced English, oral and written
• Knowledge of IQ/OQ/PQ validation protocols, ISO-13485,
• Engineering Core Tools Como: MSA, and SPC
• LEAN Manufacturing Tools Como: KAIZEN, Gemba, SMED, PDCA, DMAIC, Bottleneck Analysis, Root Cause Analysis, 5S, Poka-Yoke, JIT
• Extensive knowledge of project management (WBS / Critical Path)
• Organized, Proactive, High Sense of Urgency, Problem Solving.
• Leadership
• Experience with personnel management is a plus
