Mechanical Laboratory Engineer

For our site in Villanova di San Daniele del Friuli, we are looking for a Mechanical Laboratory Engineer with technical training in mechanical and/or material fields to join the mechanical division of our ATLAs laboratory.

The resource will focus on managing mechanical tests to study the performance of implantable prosthetic materials and devices.

Responsibilities:

• Collect inputs, plan, and execute test activities, analyze data and prepare final documentation;
• collaborate in the development of new protocols, equipment, and testing procedures;
• stay updated on the state of the art for in vitro testing of prosthetic devices and materials;
• participate in product development teams;
• participate in the drafting and updating of laboratory quality documentation in accordance with ISO 17025, as well as those for the extension of accreditation to new testing methods;
• interact proactively with customers and laboratory stakeholders.

Requirements:

• specialist degree in technical fields, preferably in mechanical/materials;
• excellent knowledge of written and spoken English (at least B2);
• excellent knowledge of the Office package;
• knowledge (at least basic) of technical drawing and finite element analysis;
• knowledge of statistical software and/or matlab and/or python;
• ability to work in teams;
• proactivity;
• accuracy and attention to detail;
• previous experience in a mechanical or metrological laboratory is a plus.
