Concept & Prototyping Engineer

Expert in Concept Development & Prototyping

We are hiring an Expert in Concept Development & Prototyping with strong expertise in automation, data integration, and prototyping, to join one of our internationally renowned clients in Zurich.

Tasks

The tasks include:

1. Analyse existing structures, contents, and technical dependencies.
2. Work with a modern technical environment including Python, scripting (Bash/PowerShell), cloud services, containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes), APIs, CI/CD pipelines, and automation frameworks.
3. Define a comprehensive concept for standardization and automation of resources.
4. Ensure dynamic updates of all linked content upon any change.
5. Integrate and transform data from partially outdated legacy applications.
6. Recommend and leverage suitable technologies (cloud, AI, containerization, APIs) for a scalable infrastructure.
7. Build prototypes to validate assumptions and iteratively improve the concept.
8. Collaborate closely with subject matter experts, IT specialists, and stakeholders.

Requirements

The requirements include:

• Higher technical education (or equivalent).
• Strong technical understanding in data management, automation, and system integration.
• Technical environment includes: Python, Bash/PowerShell scripting, Cloud platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP), containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), APIs & microservices, CI/CD tools, data integration & automation frameworks, Git.
• Hands-on experience in scripting or software development.
• Experience handling complex, heterogeneous data sources.
• Exposure to modern technologies: cloud services, AI, containerization, APIs.
• Experience in data transformation/ingestion and automation tooling.
• Analytical mindset, structured working style, and conceptual thinking.
• Team player with clear communication skills in interdisciplinary environments.
• Fluent in English (C1 level) with strong communication skills in international environments.
• Proficient in German (B2 level), enabling effective collaboration with local teams.

Benefits

Location: Zurich Remote: 2 days / week Starting Date ASAP or depending on your availabilities.

Our recruitment process includes:

1. A first interview by video conference TEAMS, to get to know each other, check your soft and hard skills and understand more about Enova and our activities.
2. If you are shortlisted, the second interview is as well by video conference teams or face2face to meet other people, in general the manager managing the client business relations and know more about the collaboration.
3. After getting all the different information to have a Enova-consultant collaboration, we organize a meeting and/or a technical interview with the client technical team.
4. If we see each other working together in an Enova collaboration we present you during a last interview the contract that we want to propose, ideally in our office.
