Outreach Support Specialist
The Enoch Pratt Free Library has an opening for an Outreach Support Specialist for our Mobile Services Division. The Specialist will be onboard our Bookmobile or mobile service vehicles assisting library customers at events, senior centers, schools, and community events throughout the Baltimore area. This position will require you to work on-site, occasionally in the evening and on weekends, at locations in and around Baltimore City.

Summary of Duties:
The summary of duties listed below is not exhaustive and dependent upon the needs of the hiring department.
- Visit various community hubs, including hospitals, community centers, schools, senior centers, and underserved communities with teams on Bookmobile or minivans.
- Participate in community events including Expos and Festivals to promote new and existing library services.
- Advise customers on library activities, programs, resources, and public services at public events.
- Attend work-related seminars to enhance professional development.
- Assist customers with basic technology troubleshooting, library sign-up, and resume assistance.
- Packs Boxes for event and branch Incentives.
- Deliver and/or collect materials from homebound patrons.
- Conducting mobile library services to those patrons without library access.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or a GED certificate.
- Two years of customer service experience.
- Experience with current IT technology including Internet browser, MS Office, and Google suite, and Pratt Library resources.
- Physical Requirements: Physical exertion such as standing; or recurring activities such as bending, crouching, reaching; pushing loaded book trucks; or recurring lifting of moderately heavy items such as boxes of books or journals.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in public libraries, digital literacy, or education highly desired.
- IT certification including Google, Microsoft, A+, Network+, or any IT-related desktop certifications.
- Experience providing excellent customer service to a broad range of customers in an urban environment.
- Experience with troubleshooting printers, laptops, Chromebooks, smart phones, and Pratt Library resources.
- Experience working in a team environment.

- Ability to retrieve information from a variety of library resources and to compile information following general directions.

- Intermediate proficiency in Google Suite and Microsoft Office.
