Job Purpose: The control engineering intern will have the opportunity to be involved in one or more stages of a project that may include design, development, testing and commissioning. The role of the controls engineer intern will serve to assist with daily tasks performed by control engineers while bringing up talent within the organization. The intern will learn Enersys policies, methodology, and compliance with industry standards following the NFPA, NEC, IEC. The intern will shadow the controls engineers, learning basics of project management, controls systems, SCADA systems, and robotics.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Comply with work schedule
  • Perform 2 intern projects as provided by the engineering manager
  • Learn and Comply with Industry Safety, ISO, ITAR, and IATF standards.
  • Provide technical support for production needs.

Qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in undergrad/grad studies related to engineering
  • Ability to perform physical tasks ie lifting, squatting, sitting, walking
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a professional manner
  • Assist experienced engineers in the design, development, and implementation of controls systems for industrial machinery or processes.
  • Assist engineers with daily troubleshooting tasks.
