Summary of Position: Production engineer intern in an API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) manufacturing facility
Responsibilities:
Intern will work alongside APAP (acetaminophen) manufacturing personnel to learn the tasks associated with a production engineer role. Typical activities would include process monitoring and troubleshooting, deviation investigation and root cause analysis, batch record review and modification, shutdown planning, and completion of small process-related projects.
Minimum Requirements:
Undergraduate in engineering discipline, chemical engineering preferred. Intern will have completed course work required to matriculate into their intended engineering discipline, rising senior preferred.
Relationship with Others/Scope of Position:
Intern will be part of the APAP department staff, working very closely with APAP production engineers, supervisors and operators. This position will also interact frequently with other departments including EHS, Quality, Maintenance and Technical Operations (Engineering).
