Patient Support Assistant

Hourly Pay Range: $18.38 - $26.65 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Patient Support Assistant
• Location: Glenbrook Hospital and Swedish Hospital
• Full Time/Part Time: Full Time (40 hours per week)
• Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:00AM-6:00PM, with one Saturday per month at our Lake Bluff location
• Required Location: Travel to Evanston and Highland Park for coverage if needed.

What you will need:

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Certification: N/A
• Experience: One year of related experience is required; previous administrative experience working in a medical office is preferred; insurance knowledge preferred
• Skills: Minimum typing speed of 20 words per minute required

What you will do:

• Answer phones
• Schedule appointments
• Collect co-payments
• Complete patient registration
• Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
• Check in and check out patients
• Verify insurances
