Medical Assistant/Patient Support Associate

Hourly Pay Range: $19.89 - $28.84 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position: Medical Assistant/Patient Support Associate (MA/PSA)

Location: Northbrook, IL

Full Time/Part Time: Full Time

Hours: Monday-Friday: M-F: Between 7:00 am- 5:00 pm

Required Travel: Yes

What you will do:

  • Answer phones
  • Schedule appointments
  • Collect co-payments
  • Complete patient registration
  • Provide other administrative support to the physician practice
  • Check in and check out patient
  • Verify insurances
  • Greet patients and escort them to exam room
  • Document vital signs, allergies, medications and reason for office visit
  • Provide front office support as needed
  • Perform basic vitals like BP, height and weight
  • Phlebotomy and injections may be required

What you will need:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent work experience is required. Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program is preferred.

Certification: CPR certification through the American Heart Association required; Medical Assistant Certification (AMT or AAMA) is preferred.

Experience: One year of work experience required, previous experience working in a medical office (or related field) is preferred. On the job training is provided.
