Station Operator

Here's what you will do:
- Operates all Station prime movers and compressors, including start, stop, load adjustment, alarm monitoring and initial response as required.
- Sets up station in various operating modes based on system demands.
- Monitors, operates and performs routine inspections on station air systems, fuel systems, cooling water systems, oil systems, and safety systems.
- Operates station auxiliary operational equipment and all station valves.
- Completes reports accurately and completely and assists others in routine troubleshooting and repair of station equipment.
- Consistently works in a safe, responsible manner and actively participates in safely related programs.
- Actively participates as a work group team member and maintains a cooperative work relationship with fellow employees.
- Performs work in compliance with Company policies/procedures as well as external regulatory bodies, such as Pipeline Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) through adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) Manuals.
Who you are:
You have the following education and experience:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A valid Driver's license.
- Must be able and willing to work overtime, weekends, shift, on call and standby, and travel overnight as required.
- Must be able to perform physically demanding activities in all types of weather conditions.
- Currently reside or is willing to reside within a 30-mile radius from the facility you are assigned.
Desired Skills:
- Possess the desire to develop core skills and knowledge to ensure the safe and reliable operation of equipment, adhering to safety procedures, and performing maintenance and repair tasks.
- Working knowledge of operations used in maintenance and repair of pipelines and operational equipment.
- Strong technical and analytical skills demonstrated through training, formal education, and/or experience.
- Computer literate with working knowledge of Excel and Word.
- Proficient at conducting tasks independently with limited guidance.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Able to work and contribute to a team environment where inclusiveness, integrity, honestly and openness are valued.
- Proven ability to drive and perform job safely.
- Innovative problem solver without compromising SOPs.
- Willing to assume responsibility and take initiative to resolve issues.
Physical Requirements: Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 25 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 25 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.
