Report to the program manager and senior test lead
Work with cross-functional and global teams to develop and support Emerson's pressure and temperature industrial measurement products.
Develop Test plans, Test strategies, Test Schedule and Automation Test Tool for pressure and temperature firmware testing of functional and non-functional requirements.
Identify test scope based on requirements, architecture, and risk assessment.
Design and develop Test Architecture for Automation testing tool for Industrial product testing using Test equipment like Resistance substituters, thermocouple simulators, DAQs and Switchers.
Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle from requirements definition through post-release activities.
Design and Develop Test cases, Test Scripts and contribute to maintain design quality for Emerson's pressure and temperature industrial measurement products.
Handling test equipment like Resistance substituters, thermocouple simulators, DAQs and Switchers.
Support test development process including designs, reviews, execution and report generation.
Lead Manual and Automated testing of firmware modules, peripherals, and system-level behaviors.
Coordinate and supervise daily test execution activities across teams.
Ensure proper logging of issues, retest cycles, and test evidence. Preparing reports on all aspects related to the software testing carried out and reporting to the design team.
Interacting with clients to understand product requirements.
Communicate test progress, risks, and blockers to project managers and leadership.
Be innovative and contribute to the quality development culture within organization.

For this role, you will need:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Electronics/ Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Having experience of 7 to 9 years in Software testing with embedded firmware systems in microcontroller-based Pressure & Temperature Transmitter products, and prototype verification.
Minimum 2 years of Team leading experience of test engineer.
Having experience of Manual and Automation testing.
Experience with Software Functional testing like requirements-based testing, black box testing, and grey box testing.
Experience with software test techniques and methodology.
Experience with test automation architecture.
Ability to flex working hours to accommodate global time differences.
Experience working with DAQ, substituters, simulator, Calibrators, DSO, MSO.
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Having knowledge of C, C# or any other programming language like Python, C++ is must.
ISTQB Foundation level certified Tester.
Knowledge of Basic Electronics like working of current loops, Transistors, Op-amps, closed loop control circuits.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

Preferred qualifications that set you apart:
Knowledgeable with LabVIEW programming will be added advantage.
Experience with handling NI, IET, Keithley, Keysight devices will be added advantage.
Experience with handling instruments like Digital Signal Oscilloscope, Digital Multimeter, Resistance Substituters, Voltage regulators, Voltage Simulators.
Knowledgeable with Object oriented programming.
