Senior Engineer - Product Certification

Job Title

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Study and interpret UL, FM, CSA, IEC, ATEX standards for different products, generate product test plan as per requirements by standards, validate the test plan by coordinating with the internal certification team, business unit, and certification agencies, release authorized test plan to engineering, marketing, certification departments in the early project stage.

Coordinate with local and international labs/certification agencies to understand and validate test plans, planning tests in their labs, etc. Help product design engineers for pre-certification tests plan & procedures. Conduct R&D tests on prototypes for early-stage findings in the new product design cycle. Summarize the test results and compare with requisite references. Prepare authorized test report and review with project teams. Provide product improvements and test conclusion recommendations to the project teams.

For This Role, You Will Need:

BE/B Tech. Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communication Engineering from a reputed institution. Must have 6-10 years' experience in product testing and validation per international standards like UL, FM, CSA, IEC, and ATEX. Experience in hazardous location product testing like Pressure, Temperature, and Flow transmitters is an added advantage. Working experience of ordinary location and hazardous location standards like IEC 60079 series, UL 61010-1, UL50E, and equivalent CSA standards. Proficient in Intrinsic Safety requirements as per IEC 60079-11. Must have worked in a globally located team environment. Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision. Undertakes work in an efficient and timely manner. A willingness to learn is critical.
