Senior Design Engineer

If you are a qualified Team Leader, Emerson has an exciting role for you! We are looking for a Senior Design Engineer to work with our Pervasive Sensing Team. This role involves setting objectives, delegating tasks, monitoring performance, and providing support to help the team succeed. You will also be responsible for taking the lead in engaging stakeholders to tackle challenges and drive forward new initiatives.

In this role, your responsibilities will be:

• Creating Level 2, Level 3 & Level 4 drawings using SolidWorks.
• Extending drafting support up to Level 5 drawings using SolidWorks.
• Creating complex models, assemblies, and drawings using SolidWorks.
• Performing detail checking of general arrangement drawings for projects.
• Managing the workload for the team.
• Reviewing project requirements and assigning project leaders.
• Interacting with PM to understand customer drawing requirements and get CAD files for buyout products.
• Interacting with OE and AE as required for the project/backlog drawing support.
• Understanding global engineering standards and implementing them.
• Supporting outline drawing using ADCI application.
• Preparing schematics and bill of materials for level drawings.
• Involve in training/mentoring the drafters.

For this role, you will need:

• Minimum 8 years' experience in drafting/project handling/CAD modeling.
• Experience in SolidWorks CAD.
• Experience in SolidWorks PDM.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Mechanical/Automobile/Production Engineering.
• Knowledge in control valve products.
• Knowledge in engineering standards.
• Experience in SolidWorks macros is an added advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
