Summer Intern Product Engineer

Our Product Engineering team is looking for a Summer Intern based in our Austin (Round Rock), Texas facility. This role will include opportunities to interface with the Emerson Technology, Marketing, Lifecycle Services and Project Execution organizations. This position is well suited for opportunists and problem solvers who can maximize the potential of software development environments for simplifying or optimizing common day to day tools used for problem solving.

Candidates will have the opportunity to develop software applications, tools, diagnostics and utilities. These internal utilities will be used by Product Engineers to aid with field investigations and troubleshooting DeltaV System issues. The development programming languages are versatile – i.e. C++, C#, Python, etc.

As a Product Engineer Intern, You Will:

  • Work directly with Product Engineers and other department teams in formalizing
    • Development of software tools, diagnostics and utilities
    • Software applications, existing or custom developed, to manage or optimize the use of laboratory resources & assets

This position is in Round Rock, Texas. The term of these internships is from June to August 2026. Relocation housing stipend available.

Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university.
  • Pursing Bachelor of Science or Master of Science degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Actively enrolled in a Bachelor or Master's degree program.
  • Previous co-op or intern experience a plus.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills (served in leadership role in student organization).
