Order Entry Specialist

As an Order Entry Specialist, you'll play a critical role in ensuring customer orders are entered and processed accurately, completed on time, and aligned with internal policies—helping deliver a seamless experience for both customers and internal teams.

The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately entering and processing customer orders into the company's order management system. This role ensures that all orders are completed promptly, meet customer requirements, and comply with internal policies and procedures. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.

In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

  • Accurately enter customer orders, including product details, quantities, pricing, and delivery information, into the company's order management system.
  • Review and verify orders for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to pricing and discount policies.
  • Flag potential issues with purchase order prior to entry and escalate accordingly
  • Determine correct product to enter using a variety of resources
  • Determine requested ship dates that meet matrix, other system data or as per date management standard
  • Review customer open order reports and making changes in relevant system as required
  • Manage pre-booking Change Order and Cancellation requests
  • Assist with order-related inquiries and provide prompt and professional customer service.
  • Identify and report recurring issues or system errors to management for continuous improvement.

You have a track record of exceeding goals successfully. You deal constructively with problems that do not have clear solutions or outcomes. You build and deliver solutions that meet customer expectations. You separate and combines activities into efficient workflow.

For This Role, You Will Need:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Demonstrated ability to operate and communicate within cross-functional teams
  • Ability to efficiently and effectively manage time, and complete tasks
  • Experience using MS office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications That Set You Apart:

  • Self-starter with demonstrated ability to work independently with a high aptitude in customer service.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of order entry or customer service experience in a manufacturing office environment is preferred
  • Experience using SAP applications is highly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, including using tact and good judgment when dealing with others
  • Detail oriented and excellent organizational skills with the ability to multi-task and reassess priorities continually
  • Effective time management skills
  • Computer literacy and capability to learn/work with various systems such as MS Office and SAP
