The Clinical Education Support Specialist will collaborate closely with CSD department members to support student and clinical program functions in accordance with American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and Council for Academic Accreditation (CAA) standards. Responsibilities include hosting and facilitating virtual meetings to ensure effective communication, tracking, reporting, and auditing data to maintain accuracy and compliance, escalating issues as necessary while documenting critical information, and supporting various program and departmental requirements as assigned. This is a remote position working less than 20 hours per week.
Essential Job Duties
Student & Supervisor Support
- Conduct virtual site visits with supervisors and student clinicians to assess placement progress and address challenges.
- Host virtual calls with site supervisors to verify placement requirements.
- Learn and utilize systems to track and manage information, and schedule appointments with supervisors and student clinicians.
- Meet with students to monitor progress, identify challenges, complete documentation, and discuss career development.
- Complete required forms and documentation promptly to capture feedback and commentary.
- Prepare and conduct welcome calls with supervisors in advance of each term's student placements.
Program Coordination & Communication
- Respond promptly and professionally to inquiries from students, supervisors, and Emerson College personnel.
- Consult with CSD personnel to provide feedback on student and supervisor progress.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and assist in refining program documentation.
- Participate in weekly calibration meetings with the Clinical Education team.
- Attend necessary trainings mandated by the college and the CSD department and program.
Qualifications
Qualifications are deemed required or preferred and represent what is needed to effectively perform the job.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with current certification required.
- Three to five years working as a clinical instructor, supervisor or clinician in a community or academic setting required.
- Ability to handle sensitive issues and maintain confidentiality required.
- Experience with online educational programs required.
Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

- Experience with Microsoft Office, Adobe, and Google Suite and webinar technology, familiar with Microsoft Office, Google Suite, Zoom, and presentation software to support remote work and learning environments.

- Strong judgment and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and presentation software.

Compensation: $38.45 - $48.00 hourly, commensurate with experience. Grade of Position: 23-10NE Scheduled Weekly Hours: 18.00 Division.
