Controls Service Technician - Automated Logic

DeBra-Kuempel is seeking to fill a Controls Service Technician - Automated Logic position for the EMCOR Services Automated Controls division in our Cincinnati, OH location. The Controls Service Technician position is a critical role for service and support of construction and maintenance projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Perform scheduled controls preventative maintenance for various building automation systems
  2. Perform technical startup/checkout/commissioning of building automation systems
  3. Perform service call troubleshooting, repair, and replacement of building automation systems
  4. Provide remote support for building automation customers
  5. Manage estimated preventative maintenance hours on assigned contracts
  6. Complete service ticket reports for all preventative maintenance accounts and T&M projects
  7. Coordinate with Service Team Lead for proposals or extra work required
  8. Log maintenance tasks via building automation system
  9. Communicate with customer on tasks completed and hours spent
  10. Acquire service ticket signatures as required
  11. Maintain all safety standards and compliance documentation

  • Controls service experience preferred.
  • Mechanical service experience preferred.
  • Service estimation experience preferred.
  • Excellent customer relations and communications skilled required.
  • Working knowledge of Automated Logic, Tridium, Honeywell, Trane, JCI and other control systems preferred.
  • Must be self-motivated, goal and results oriented and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have high standards of quality with attention to detail.
  • Must be efficient at scheduling and meeting commitments for multiple customers.
  • Job duties include assigned office location and cross support for Cincinnati, Columbus, Indianapolis, Lexington, Louisville, Memphis, Evansville and potential future office locations.
  • Minimum 7-10 years related experience in controls/mechanical industry.
  • MET Technical Degree, MES Journeyman, or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge of the controls service industry and contract documentation.
  • Working knowledge of federal, state, and city regulations and guidelines.

The employee regularly lifts and/or moves items up to fifty (50) pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to travel to job sites within the servicing territory assigned by the company.
