The Opportunity
The Assistant Director of Student Financial Services (SFS) will play a key leadership role in overseeing daily operations and team supervision at the Prescott campus. This position requires strong discretion and attention to detail in auditing processes, reviewing reports, managing student and institutional billing, and ensuring the accuracy of tuition rates within the student information system on an annual basis. The Assistant Director will also handle escalated customer service matters with professionalism and care.
In this role, the Assistant Director will ensure that staff remain informed and compliant with all relevant policies, procedures, and federal and state laws, University guidelines (APPMs and POM), standard accounting practices, and regulations from the U.S. Department of Education and other governing bodies.
Reporting to the Director of SFS, the Assistant Director will provide policy insights and operational recommendations aligned with the department’s and University’s strategic goals. As a liaison for the department, they will promote a unified and collaborative approach across all campuses—Daytona Beach, Prescott, and Worldwide—ensuring high-quality service and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.
Additionally, the Assistant Director will serve as the primary contact for daily operations at the Prescott SFS office, ensuring adequate staffing and support for walk-in inquiries from students, families, and University staff.

Required Education And Qualifications
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Preferred Certifications/Licenses: Relevant certifications in finance or accounting are a plus.
Required Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, or a related field. Experience in higher education, student financial services, or customer service-oriented financial operations is highly desirable.
