Academic Support Coordinator

The College of Arts & Sciences at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University – Worldwide, located in Daytona Beach, FL, is seeking an experienced and highly organized administrative professional for the position of Academic Support Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Dean, this position plays a critical role in supporting the College's academic operations in close collaboration with the department and program chairs. This position assists with a broad range of academic and faculty administrative functions, including but not limited to faculty scheduling, academic issues and student success needs, planning college meetings, and collaboration with internal departments for faculty and course management and scheduling.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to Department Chairs, Program Chairs, and Faculty
  • Serve as administrative point of contact between the Dean of Students' Office and the college for grievances and inquiries
  • Serve as point of contact to facilitate the completion of adjunct hirings
  • Manage course rollout and cancellations and permissions to run courses with low enrollment in collaboration with the Dean and Department Chairs
  • Coordinate between the College and Instructional Design on course updates, developments, and redevelopments
  • Assist with the organization of College meetings and faculty meetings
  • Compiling faculty and student reports for the college leadership
  • Full-time and adjunct faculty onboarding and management support
  • Clerical student case management
  • Course and faculty scheduling, credentialing, and approvals
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality and professionalism in handling sensitive faculty, student, and administrative information
  • Support curriculum development, program reviews, and assessment
  • Other duties assigned by the Dean

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's degree or completion of a post-secondary program lasting 18 months or longer.
  • One to three years of administrative experience in an academic or comparable education-related environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Attention to detail and reliable work style.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint/Google Docs, and Outlook, as well as Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and social media platforms.
  • Proficiency with academic management systems such as Campus Solutions, Knowledge Lake Imaging system and Workday.
  • Experience in managing complex projects.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a diverse community.
  • Ability to work independently, reliably, efficiently and proactively, as well as collaboratively in team settings.
  • Capability to operate effectively in both face-to-face and virtual environments.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administrators, while demonstrating professionalism, tact, and cultural awareness.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
