Eli Lilly Italia is seeking a candidate for an extracurricular internship within the Cartridge Module, specifically in the Visual Inspection department, supporting the Associate Director – Cartridges Visual Inspection PTL.
This internship offers the opportunity to gain direct experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment with high standards of safety, quality, and performance. The role includes involvement in daily operations and continuous improvement projects aimed at optimizing visual inspection processes.
Main Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze process data from the shop floor and digital systems, supporting the development of new KPIs.
- Analyze the Sorting process and contribute to improving inter-lot activities across shifts, ensuring process efficiency and repeatability.
- Collaborate with supervisors and operators to understand workflows and support the creation of a capability matrix for production personnel.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and housekeeping activities using Lean tools, particularly 5S.
- Support the department in Inspection Readiness activities and preparations for audits (e.g., FDA).
- Review and update SOPs, assess practice vs. procedure, and ensure alignment with quality standards.
- Work with the tutor, Process Team, and support functions (MI&CS, PMX) on routine management and improvement projects.

- Understand GMP principles, good documentation practices, and quality systems.
- Develop skills in data analysis and digital tools supporting production.

Requirements
- Degree in Chemical Engineering or related disciplines.
- Interest in pharmaceutical manufacturing and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and quality orientation.
- Teamworking attitude and ability to operate in regulated environments.
- Proactivity, curiosity, and willingness to learn.
