Responsibilities:
• Sets plans and programs for periodic and preventive maintenance for all factory dies, molds tools, internal or external working.
• Supervises the execution of the maintenance plans and programs to ensure the continuity of nonstop production for long-time.
• Analyses dies failures, diagnosing its causes, suggesting suitable treats and reporting to operational maintenance manager.
• Coordinates with production and planning department the ways of failure notification to schedule repairing without stopping the production line for long-time and giving working orders for dies sections.
• Participates in setting technical specifications for all spare part needed to be purchased and contact the manufacturing workshop for manufacturing spare parts with special specifications.
• Audits weekly and monthly for all maintenance and dies activities.
• Setting ways of protection for unused production dies and releasing related instructions.
• Manages dies maintenance leaders and their performance and supplying spare parts and maintenance requirements.
• Coordinates the performance of quality engineers and developing their reports.
• Coordinates with the purchasing dept. to provide mechanical and electric spare parts of the frequently consumed parts and keeping them at the warehouse to ensure their availability.
• Writes periodic reports on the performance of all factory dies and suggesting modifications and developing techniques by the coordination with production dept.
• Participates in setting the tools and dies dept. budget by the coordination with operations production manager and central manufacturing engineering.
• Trains workers for equipment maintaining techniques, failure causes, prevention and their remedy.
• Participates in manufacturing studies and solving technical problems.
• Designs and manufacturing dies and alternatives to increase productivity with cooperation with central manufacturing engineering and R&D.
• Communicates suppliers and sister factories to manufacture required spare parts.
• Following all working techniques and instructions according to quality programs requirements.
• Implements Lean Manufacturing project in his section. Improve safety and health condition in his area. Improve Environmental impact & implement Zero landfill waste management system.
Areas of authority:
1. Approves vacations, allowances, and penalties inside his/her Operations.
2. Nominates high performing employees for rewards (Suggest & Win, Quarterly Excellence awards, etc.)
3. Evaluation and rating of subordinates (Performance management process)
4. Deciding salary increase in alignment with performance level and company's salary structure.
5. Approving Budget of Department.
Organizational Relationships:
• Supervision of: Dies & Tools technicians
• Functional relationships with: Manufacturing, Purchasing, R&D, and other Plant's Department
• External Relationships: suppliers
Education, Skills, Experience required:
1. B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering-Production Department.
2. From 2 to 4 years in the field of Dies and tools maintenance.
3. Project Management Skill is Required.
4. Good Written and Verbal Communication Skills in English.
5. Ability to Apply Lean Manufacturing Concepts.
6. Auto CAD, MS Project & MS Office Tools.
