Rural Products Sales Representative

Accepting a role with Elders means you will be joining the family backed by a team ready to support and grow your career. Be part of a culture that has been in the making for more than 185 years, a culture so strong it is almost tangible. Much like the farmers and communities we work with, you will experience passion, dedication, and resilience across all parts of the business. With such an iconic, essential business in the Australian landscape we are confident that you too will be proud to grow your career at Elders and wear the pink shirt.

We are looking for a Rural Products Sales Representative to join our team on a Permanent, Full-Time basis. Join Elders as a Rural Products Sales Representative, where you'll play a key role in supporting our branch operations and rural products team. This position has a stronger focus on store and back-office functions than a typical Rural Products Sales Representative role - ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical and organizational skills with customer and team support. This position offers opportunities for leadership development and growth within the business.

Your knowledge of rural products, combined with your proficiency in sales and warehousing systems and Microsoft Office, will be essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and excellent service delivery. Supported by the extensive Elders network, you'll have access to the tools, training, and resources you need to continue building a rewarding career in the rural industry.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily branch operations with a focus on store and back-office efficiency.
  • Use sales and warehousing systems to manage stock movements, dispatch, and inventory control.
  • Assist with in-store rural products sales, client orders, and deliveries.
  • Manage the process surrounding quotes, sales administration, and client transactions.
  • Receive and dispatch stock safely and accurately.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting using MS Office and internal systems.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships by recommending Elders products and services to enhance their business growth.
  • Support branch communication and social media activities.
  • Contribute to leadership and process improvement initiatives within the branch.

About You

  • Strong proficiency in sales and warehousing systems, plus Microsoft Office.
  • Solid knowledge and experience with rural products.
  • Experience with inventory control and stock management.
  • Background in quoting, sales administration, or customer service.
  • Familiarity with social media or digital communication tools.
  • Forklift licence (or willingness to obtain one with Elders' support).
  • Experience proactively sourcing new business opportunities.
