HR Governance Officer

We are looking for a HR Governance Officer to join our Adelaide team on a permanent, full-time basis.

As a HR Governance Officer, you will support the People & Safety (P&S) team by coordinating governance activities, managing operational processes, and maintaining compliance and reporting frameworks. Working closely with the P&S Leadership team, you will support team operations and coordinate Executive, Board and P&S reporting, in addition to related activities across the function.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain reporting schedules and track actions to ensure timely follow-up.
  • Coordinate operational planning, risk, and compliance activities across the People function, including preparation of agendas and minutes.
  • Provide operational support, including quality assurance of reports and Board/Committee papers
  • Support team administration, including managing SharePoint document libraries, budget tracking, and invoice processing.
  • Assist with intranet content updates and coordination of People & Safety activities.
  • Provide project and initiative support, including coordination, documentation, implementation, and continuous improvement activities.

About you

  • Proven experience in governance, compliance, and/or executive support roles.
  • Strong organizational and administrative skills, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams) and experience using document management systems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong interpersonal relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Strong problem-solving capability, with a proactive approach to identifying issues, implementing solutions, and driving continuous improvement.
  • Qualifications or experience in Human Resources or Business Administration highly regarded.
