Job Summary
The Senior Neurology Sales Specialist achieves the Eisai sales targets through promotion and education regarding the Eisai pharmaceutical products to the Canadian healthcare community.
Essential Functions
Create an annual regional business plan to drive brand growth through appropriate use, adoption and access to achieve annual forecasts. Collaborate with internal cross-functional partners to optimize Eisai strategy, resources and allocation. Manage territory budget to target. Achieve annual sales forecasts of Eisai product portfolio through implementation of approved sales, marketing, market access and clinical materials to establish the value of Eisai brands across key customers and stakeholders.
Demonstrate strong business acumen and organizational skills in territory planning and time management. Offer superior, timely customer service. Provide prompt and accurate feedback of customer to customer queries. Develop strong relationships with Health Care Providers and key stakeholders through establishing and maintaining a high standard of professionalism, business acumen and scientific credibility. Collaborate with internal partners (MSLs, medical, market access and marketing) to understand customer insights to facilitate clinical advocacy, research partnerships and patient access and education.
Uncover competitive market, clinical practice and healthcare system insights and opportunities through preceptorships, conferences and daily territory management and analysis. Identify sponsorship and institutional grant opportunities that support the value of Eisai products and services to enhance the quality of patient care and establish Eisai as a meaningful partner in Canadian Health Care.
Role requires 25% travel and attendance at local, regional and national International conferences as agreed upon by the Regional Business Director. Complete all administrative responsibilities as outlined by the Regional Business Director. Maintain company customer relationship database. Track key performance metrics to facilitate effective year end performance reviews and ongoing personal and professional development. Adhere to all Eisai policies and procedures (e.g. Travel and Entertainment Policy) as well as Rx&D Code of Marketing Practices and adheres to all safety reporting requirements.
Maintain at all times a professional, respectable and dignified image as a representative of Eisai. Maintain all company capital in good working order, including computers, office equipment etc.
Requirements
University degree required, life science preferred. 10+ years of pharmaceutical sales experience is required; therapeutic knowledge in Neuroscience is preferred. Demonstrated ability to develop strong clinical partnerships through understanding and effectively communicate scientific information is imperative. Successful track record of building strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, Specialists and General Practitioners. Proven oral and written communication skills. Prior experience and skills in time management including a frequent travel schedule is desirable. Experience with computers is required; especially word, excel, power point and customer relationship management databases.
