As part of the development of our international activities, we are recruiting an Environmental Coordinator to join our local HSE team in Sweden.

Your Future Team

The STEGRA project, located in Boden, Sweden, involves the construction of a green steel mill and an electrolysis plant, powered by renewable electricity and water from the Lule River. The goal is to produce 5 million tonnes of high-quality green steel by 2030. The work includes:

  • Water Treatment Plant (WT2)
  • Hydrogen Manufacturing Plant (HMP)

As an Environmental Coordinator within the Marine & Overseas Division, you will report to the HSE Manager and be responsible for ensuring the environmental management of our projects in Sweden.

Your Main Missions

  • Ensure environmental regulatory monitoring and compliance
  • Conduct environmental analysis for projects
  • Develop and implement environmental management plans
  • Implement on-site solutions for waste treatment, water management, chemical management, ..
  • Conduct regular site inspections
  • Analyze environmental incidents and prepare root cause analysis reports
  • Report environmental data and performance indicators
  • Develop and implement a carbon reporting system for the project, monitoring and tracking carbon emissions
  • Identify and engage with environmental service providers and potential partners
  • Develop and deliver environmental training programs for personnel
  • Organize and facilitate environmental awareness events
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between the Project Manager and the Client on environmental matters
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of Eiffage's environmental management system
  • Implement the Eiffage Génie Civil environmental policy and related procedures
  • Establish, monitor, and report on environmental action plans (biodiversity, energy efficiency, circular economy, low-carbon, etc.)
  • Promote and foster a strong environmental culture among all employees

Support and prepare for internal and external audits and certifications (ISO 14001, MASE, etc.)

What We Are Looking For

  • Master's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably as an Environmental Officer or HSE Officer.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and teamwork skills.
  • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in Swedish is highly desirable.
  • Solid understanding of Swedish environmental legislation and regulations.
  • Experience with carbon accounting and reporting methodologies.
