The Business Services Manager will lead long-term strategy and implementation of business-to-business sales. Provide support and oversight to the Business Services team. The Business Services Manager will assist with matching employers to suitable jobseekers, while providing excellent customer service, and will maintain compliance with Federal, State, and local policies and procedures. Champion improvements to enhance performance and achieve goals. Foster a culture of excellent customer service to businesses and internal clients.

Directly manage the Business Services team
Establish professional working relationships to develop community support
Represent program at local networking and chamber events
Comfortability presenting in front of large groups
Ensure that team activities and goals are communicated and tracked properly
Provide positive vision for required changes during program operation
Analyze and understand labor market information
Create business plans and regional strategies
Train team members on successful sales tactics
Aid in the development of quarterly business development plans
Attend funder-led business development meetings
Develop relationships with area employers to secure exclusive hiring arrangements and build a network for job placement
Promote available services, such as On-the-Job Training (OJT) and Going Pro Training Fund (GPTF), and assist employers to successfully access services
Coordinate delivery of services and fulfillment of job orders with designated partner organizations
Provide consistent and comprehensive account management and follow-up
Provide, as required, target estimates or goals and periodic progress reports
Share information with appropriate staff and/or funding agencies
Help to ensure that positive outcomes and goals are met as required by contract
Meet performance targets on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis
Collaborate with economic development partners and support regional economic development initiatives
Provide project management for large-scale Business Services projects within the service area
Create and maintain complete records of client accounts, including detailed content on sales and service delivery activities and full profile information for the business client in Salesforce
Facilitate weekly meetings with the Business Services team to ensure that best practices are being used and to discuss improvements/goals
Identify and implement solutions to individual staff, team and local area performance challenges

Must have 1-3 years of Management level experience with comparable project size
At least 5 years of successful sales-related experience preferred
Workforce Development experience preferred
Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
Should have skills and experience in providing career development assistance
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to maintain flexibility as needs of contract or contractor require
Skills and experience in creating and implementing business plans
Ability to converse with a wide range of professionals and demonstrate a positive professional attitude
Experience with economic development collaboratives and Going Pro Talent Fund or similar state/federal grants is a plus
Must have notable experience in a team-oriented environment
Valid Driver's License and an automobile are required
Business Services staff are required to obtain the Business Solutions Professional Certification Training (BSP) within the first year of employment
Bachelor's degree in business, education, human services or related area is required
