Responsibilities

1. Set-up and maintain an appealing retail environment and assist customers with their shopping and purchase of merchandise.
2. Provide excellent customer service to all of the boutique's customers.
3. Greet customers immediately, in a courteous and friendly manner.
4. Possess the ability to work with several customers at one time while maintaining individual customer satisfaction.
5. Handle telephone transactions quickly, and courteously.
6. Point out any sales, specials, or new merchandise to customers.
7. Assist customers with their selection of merchandise and offer additional product that compliments the purchase.
8. Accept cash & credit card payments for merchandise purchases. Keep cash register accurate.
9. Notify customers when special orders or back-ordered items are received.
10. Handle customer complaints reasonably, showing empathy and a positive attitude, and demonstrate our commitment to excellent customer service.
11. Provide prompt and accurate service at cash register.
12. Assist General Merchandise Manager with attaining retail sales plans in General Merchandise.
13. Receive and process merchandise from distributors, check merchandise received against purchase invoice, log merchandise into inventory, and prepare product for showroom floor.
14. Conduct or participate in periodic physical inventory of all merchandise (counts, reports etc.)
15. Assist with set-up, organization, and staging of special events such as Open houses, of HOG activities, fashion shows, etc.
16. Create well-organized presentations, which appeal to our customers.
17. Ensure merchandise displays are stocked, clean, dust free, and appealing to customers.
18. Continuously maintain showroom product availability by stocking shelves and displays.
19. Maintain update customer mailing lists.
20. Attend training sessions to keep current with merchandising & inventory control issues.
21. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year retail sales or customer service experience required.
• Steady work history and a strong desire to succeed
• Basic MS Office knowledge and internet proficiency
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation, negotiation, and follow-through skills
• Valid Driver's license
