Position Summary

The Customer Marketing Associate is a key player to drive business growth. Their main responsibility is to accelerate sales by designing and executing strategies, plans, and promotions that stand out at the point of sale, supported by a deep understanding of trends, shopper behaviors, and customer dynamics in the assigned channels.

The mission of the role is to enhance category and customer development, ensure differential execution, optimize resource investment, and strengthen collaboration with strategic partners, maximizing influence on the shopper to achieve commercial objectives.

This position combines strategic vision and tactical precision, integrating direct management reporting and close coordination with areas such as Sales, Marketing, and Business Intelligence, ensuring a solid implementation of key initiatives in the market.

Key Responsibilities

1. Development of Business Strategy by Channel

• Analyze shopper patterns, trends, and insights to identify growth opportunities.

• Develop differentiated strategies by channel and customer in collaboration with Sales.

• Provide information and necessary actions to meet objectives at the point of sale.

• Collaborate with Marketing on promotional proposals aligned with customer requirements and available resources.

• Coordinate and manage joint business plans with strategic clients.

2. Execution at the Point of Sale

• Define and oversee the execution of campaigns and activations at the point of sale.

• Ensure delivery of materials and training to sales teams and merchandisers.

• Design and follow up on the placement of displays, signage, and visibility elements.

• Monitor and report on the performance of promotional programs and prices in the assigned channels.

• Conduct in-store audits to identify improvement opportunities and optimize execution.

3. Investment and Budget Management

• Monitor and report on the compliance of the Trade Marketing budget (A&P, Displays, Brand Ambassadors).

• Ensure efficiency in resource investment and alignment with the Annual Business Plan (ABP).

4. Promotional Grid

• Design, implement, and control the annual promotional plan by category, channel, and customer.

• Propose and execute different types of promotions (CRM, direct discounts, promotional packs).

• Evaluate the effectiveness of promotions and optimize strategies based on results.

5. Brand Ambassadors Strategy

• Define, negotiate, and coordinate with agencies the implementation of the Brand Ambassadors program.

• Propose points of sale for the execution of activities and monitor incentives.

• Ensure training, tools, and clear goals for Brand Ambassadors.

• Optimize the incentive strategy to maximize impact on sales and visibility.

6. Strategic Planning

• Participate actively in the development of the three-year strategic plan.

• Contribute to the S&OP process and the design of Customer Marketing initiatives.

• Align promotional and investment plans with the corporate strategy.

7. Selling Story Development

• Lead the creation and adaptation of Selling Stories with a focus on Customer Marketing.

• Ensure that commercial presentations reflect differentiated strategies aligned with the needs of the shopper and the customer.

Required Skills & Experience

• Professional in administrative, commercial, or marketing areas (Commercial Engineering, Administration, Marketing, or related fields).

• Between 4 – 6 years of experience in commercial, marketing, or trade marketing roles in mass consumption.

• Analytical capacity and results orientation.

• Ability to influence and collaborate with multiple internal areas and external clients.

• Capacity to evaluate scenarios, manage risks, and optimize investments.

• Proactivity in generating differentiated initiatives to improve the shopper experience.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• English: 70% proficiency.
