Marketing Manager – Data Centre

Ecolab is seeking a Marketing Manager – Data Centre to help our focus set of Hyperscale, Cloud Provider, and Sovereign Data Centre customers across the Middle East, and Africa region meet their digital infrastructure goals. This role will differentiate our services from the competition and drive the achievement of our aggressive capacity and revenue targets.

This role transforms customer Voice of the Customer (VOC) into strategic market insights, drives strategic Data Centre Service Portfolio analysis and actions, and leads the core strategic marketing activities for defined Data Centre services and countries across the region.

What You Will Do:

Strategic Planning & Go-to-Market

  • Own, develop, and execute the comprehensive Go-to-Market strategy for defined Data Centre offerings (Colocation, Interconnection, Cloud On-Ramps, and Hyperscale capacity).
  • Support sales growth, customer capacity utilization, and profitability of the business through strategic planning and execution of Data Centre marketing programs.
  • In partnership with Industry technical consultants develop deep insights into customer requirements for cooling solutions to deliver compelling value propositions that drive market share growth.

Sales Enablement & Competitive Intelligence

  • Provide the sales force with leadership and marketing support, including technically focused sales tools, training on new capacity releases, competitive intelligence on build-outs, and actionable reporting.
  • Assist in developing sales and customer training programs and technical sales tools to support the sales force in response to complex customer and competitive needs.
  • Provide competitive intelligence on facility specifications (PUE, cooling technology, security) to the field sales teams to counter competitive offers.

Market Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Stay current on Data Centre industry standards (e.g., Uptime Institute), technology trends (e.g., AI/Liquid Cooling adoption), and regional regulatory practices (e.g., Data Localization) and understand the impact on business.
  • Lead cross-functional teams, as needed, to deliver project results, specifically involving Engineering, Corporate accounts, Technical consultants and Sales.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master's degree (MBA in Marketing preferred).
  • 12+ years of professional experience in B2B marketing / sales in a complex, multi-level selling environment, with at least 5 years specifically focused on Data Centres, Telecommunications, or Cloud Services

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Engineering, Computer Science, or Business degree with strong technical acumen preferred. Certifications/Training related to Data Centre Infrastructure (e.g., CDCP, Uptime Institute).
  • Experience leading and quantifying customer VOC within Hyperscale or Large Enterprise IT decision-making groups.
  • Segment marketing & Marcoms experience with a focus on Digital Infrastructure Thought Leadership.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Data Centre economics (e.g., PUE, MW capacity, CapEx vs. OpEx).
  • Ability to relate to influential people and complex organizational structures; strong interpersonal and relationship building skills, particularly with C-level technology executives in the Middle East.
  • Demonstrated initiative and leadership skills; setting vision and strategy, planning, critical thinking, orchestrating cross-functionally, overseeing multiple project elements, and proven track record of results.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, organizational skills, good attention to detail, and use of sound judgment in a fast-paced environment are essential.
