Account Manager – Animal Health
The Account Manager – Animal Health is responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers within the animal health sector by promoting and selling the organization's products and services. This role combines technical expertise and consultative sales, supporting customers across dairy, pig, and poultry production while developing new business opportunities. The position requires strong field presence, technical credibility, and the ability to build long-term customer relationships.
The role offers location flexibility within Greece, with Thessaloniki or Athens as preferred-but not mandatory-bases, as it involves regular travel nationwide to support and develop customer accounts, enabling broader geographical coverage and market growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Manage and grow existing customer accounts within the animal health sector.
- Provide technical support and advisory services to customers, including on-site visits to farms, stables, and livestock facilities.
- Identify, develop, and convert new business opportunities and prospects.
- Promote and sell the organization's products and services in line with company strategy and targets.
- Act as a trusted technical partner to customers in dairy cow operations, pig production, and poultry production.
- Combine sales development activities with hands-on technical support to ensure customer satisfaction and retention.
- Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and account plans as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- University degree in Dairy Science, Veterinary Medicine, Food Science, Agricultural Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of working experience in Animal Health, Animal Nutrition, F&B processing/manufacturing, or technical sales.
- Hands-on technical experience in livestock facilities (dairy, poultry, pigs, aquaculture is an advantage).
- Strong knowledge of animal health, physiology, and livestock production systems.
- Proven ability to combine technical expertise with sales and business development, including troubleshooting support.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounts effectively.
- High level of flexibility required. Willingness and ability to travel frequently to customer sites, farms, and production facilities.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
