Senior Full Stack Engineer

Madrid Office - Hybrid: 4 days in the office, 1 day working from home

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer to become a key technical leader in our growing Lending and Credit Risk teams. You will collaborate with and mentor a team of other talented engineers, driving the development of new lending and credit risk products that provide our customers with the liquidity they need to thrive, but also manage the credit risk profile of our customers.

Responsibilities:

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, you will drive the technical direction and execution for our core lending and credit risk products. You will be responsible for making key architectural decisions and elevating the entire team's technical capabilities.

• Lead Development & Architecture: Lead the design, architecture, and development of scalable, high-performance applications using Python (FastAPI) and TypeScript (Next.js) .
• Technical Excellence: Drive the entire development lifecycle, from technical design to deployment and monitoring. You will champion best practices in code quality, testing, and maintainability.
• Mentor & Coach: Mentor other engineers on the team, fostering their growth through constructive feedback, code reviews, and pair programming.
• Own Infrastructure & Scalability: Architect and implement robust infrastructure on AWS using Terraform , ensuring our systems are secure, scalable, and resilient.
• Enhance Delivery Pipelines: Own and improve our CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions to optimize for speed and reliability.
• Innovate with AI: Guide the exploration and implementation of Artificial Intelligence solutions for evaluating unstructured data and enhancing our decision-making processes.

About you:

We're looking for an experienced engineer who is passionate about building great products and mentoring others.

• Full professional proficiency in English (written and verbal) is essential , as you will be working closely with a diverse, international team.
• Strong architectural and system design skills, with hands-on experience building and deploying applications on cloud providers (e.g. AWS, GCP).
• Demonstrated experience in leading technical projects and mentoring other engineers.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical ideas clearly.
• Experience in FinTech, banking, or another closely related sector, with a strong understanding of financial systems and building within a regulated environment.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) using Terraform .
• Experience leading the implementation of observability tools like Datadog .
• Practical experience applying Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) models in a production environment.
• A passion for Open Source and contributions to the community.
