Our Heads of Desk (HoD) are leaders of our team and play a crucial role in ensuring a positive, supportive, and motivating culture within Ebury. They maintain and improve the sales performance through training, coaching, and the development of their people.

A HoD is a leader, someone who sets high standards and inspires their teams to go beyond what they thought possible. Someone who uses their experience and expertise to provide technical advice and uses their passion for people to inspire and motivate the sales team.

This is a senior management role within our Front Office, which opens doors to P&L leadership roles and regional director roles in our many regions.

With a proven track record in FX Sales, you will excel in a leadership role where you can achieve excellent results as a team leader. As a born coach, you get energy from sharing your experience and seeing how your team develops as a result. Additionally, you are able to develop sales strategies and techniques based on customer feedback and your knowledge of the market. You will join a close-knit team and benefit from a proven business model and supportive infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a sales team in developing prospects, leading by example, coaching and guiding your team. You are responsible for developing their skills and their career development.
  • Pitch and close deals with potential clients, both over the phone and during face-to-face meetings.
  • Manage the customer relationship for new clients to ensure smooth onboarding and their first transactions.
  • Provide accurate forecasts of expected sales volume.
  • Implement regional sales programs for sales actions and training plans with your team and fellow Heads of Desk.
  • Ensure that the company-wide sales methodology and sales administration processes are followed.
  • Be involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.

You Have:

  • A proven track record in sales management within FX or other cross-border financial services (e.g., import loans, export loans, international payments, and collections, cash management).
  • Experience in Financial Services – a network is an advantage.
  • First-class communication skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to guide, coach, and develop people.
  • An experienced negotiator, who can build and leverage relationships at a senior level with SME clients (SME clients).
  • Speak Dutch at a native level and are fluent in English.
