Our Heads of Desk (HoD) are the leaders of our team and play a crucial role in ensuring a positive, supportive, and motivating culture within Ebury. They maintain and improve sales performance through training, coaching, and the development of their people.

A HoD is a leader, someone who sets high standards and inspires their teams to go beyond what they thought was possible. Someone who uses their experience and expertise to provide technical advice and uses their passion for people to stimulate and motivate the sales team.

This is a senior leadership position within our Front Office, which opens the door to P&L leadership roles and regional director roles in our many regions.

With a proven individual track record in FX Sales, you will excel in a leadership role where you can achieve outstanding results as a team leader. As a born coach, you get energy from sharing your experience and seeing your team develop as a result. Additionally, you are capable of developing sales strategies and techniques based on customer feedback and your knowledge of the market. You will join a close-knit team and benefit from a proven business model and supportive infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading a sales team in developing prospects, leading by example, coaching, and guiding your team. You are responsible for developing their skills and their career development.
  • Pitching and closing deals with potential clients, both over the phone and during face-to-face meetings.
  • Managing the client relationship for new clients to ensure smooth onboarding and their first transactions.
  • Providing accurate forecasts of expected sales volume.
  • Implementing regional sales programs for sales campaigns and training plans with your team and fellow Heads of Desk.
  • Ensuring that the company-wide sales methodology and sales administration processes are followed.
  • Being involved in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members.

You Possess...

  • A proven track record in sales management within FX or other cross-border financial services (e.g., import loans, export loans, international payments and collections, cash management).
  • Experience in Financial Services – a network is an advantage.
  • First-class communication skills.
  • Demonstrable ability to guide, coach, and develop people.
  • An experienced negotiator, capable of building and leveraging senior-level relationships with SME clients (SME clients).
  • Speak Dutch at a native level and be fluent in English.
