eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA.
Job Duties: Work on backend system enhancements within eBay's Bulk Listing team, focusing on the development of scalable and high-performance Java applications, employing advanced Java features and optimization techniques to improve system efficiency and user experience. Collaborate with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to precisely gather and analyze requirements, implementing Java-based solutions that adhere to strict performance metrics and coding standards to ensure project alignment and success. Design and execute sophisticated Java solutions for new features, and perform critical updates on existing functionalities, applying best practices in code cleanliness, reuse, and decomposition to maintain an agile development environment. Work in tandem with front-end developers and project managers to integrate Java backend services with client-facing interfaces, ensuring robustness and seamless functionality that directly impacts user satisfaction and engagement. Contribute to quality assurance and test automation, applying rigorous testing methodologies and automation frameworks to elevate service reliability and streamline operational processes, contributing significantly to the product's market success. Partial telecommuting permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
Salary: $187,741.00-254,200.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
