eBay, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA.
Build software for warehouse operations including integration with custom hardware, RFID readers, and mobile devices running on android platform. Design, code, test, maintain software solutions, guide junior team members, and work closely with product managers and peer teams. Define, design, and implement complex, multi-tier distributed software systems focused on authenticating high value luxury items. Drive design and architecture discussions, produce well-documented design docs, and participate in software design and code reviews. Collaborate closely with peers, architects, product managers, business partners, quality engineers, and operations teams to develop innovative software solutions that meet functional and non-functional standards and expectations. Contribute to the development, testing, release, triage, bug fix, documentation, and rest of the cycles in product development and maintenance. Estimate engineering effort, plan execution cycles, and rollout system changes. Partial telecommuting is permitted from within a commutable distance.
Minimum Requirements: Master's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related field plus two years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation.
Special Skill Requirements:
Salary: $187,741.00-$254,200.00 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a target bonus and restricted stock units (as applicable) in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO and parental leave).
