The eBay Network Critical Infrastructure & Engineering software team is looking for a strong developer with a passion for network monitoring and implementing creative solutions.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

• Deployment and configuration of monitoring systems for Network Engineering
• Analyze large codebases with minimal help, identify areas of improvement, propose solutions with buy-in from partners, and deliver results.
• Maintain software standards and unit test coverage
• Implement features and perform bug fixes in existing code base
• Work with engineers to develop the most optimal solution
• Documentation of software
• Data modeling

Requirements:

• 7+ years of software development experience
• 3 years experience leading projects or functional areas
• Experience in the following languages: Go, Python
• Experience in CI/CD practices
• Experience with time-series database technologies (TSDB)
• Experience with software development standards (SDLC)
• Experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes
• Strong knowledge of Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller
• Experience using Adobe Flex
• Solid understanding of routing and switching, TCP/IP protocol stack
• Working knowledge of UNIX/Linux environments
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Good theoretical foundation in computer science
