Design Engineer Intern

A Design Engineer Intern at Reading Truck works under the direction of the Engineering Department in support of sustaining and new product development activities.

What You Will Do:

• DVP&R testing
• Document and reverse engineer competitor service bodies
• Engineering change notification
• Create and update standard work documents
• Create engineering 3D models and drawings

Program Requirements:

• Be a full-time student in a 4-year college program in aligned Major: Mechanical Engineering
• Junior year completed- preferred
• Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
• SolidWorks experience
• Sheet metal forming understanding and experience
• Adhere to all company policies
• Attend orientation and check-in meetings
• Final presentation — prepare and present to company management

Work Environment:

• Professional office environment and work on a manufacturing floor
• Sedentary work with extended periods of computer use
• Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) - if required
