To identify the gaps in supplier Quality system- Quality, Delivery and operational alignment with Eaton manufacturing sites, communicate back to supplier & take follow up for improvement actions. Ensure supplier training and actions implemented in respective process for defect free product supply with aiming overall supplier performance improvement
1. Analyze the supplier performance data and Identify the suppliers for Supplier Quality improvement programme and launch the same in alignment with Plant, Divisional & Group Quality managers
2. Lead Supplier performance improvement activities at suppliers by thorough review and establishing robust processes at supplier site
3. Drive supplier Training program to meet supplier performance expectation per Eaton Supplier Excellence Manual (SEM)
4. Train suppliers in the deployment of quality systems tools and techniques such as 8D problem solving & Quality Core Tools
5. Apply strategic thought process for expansion of the process to all Eaton businesses and ensure onboarding through transition process
6. Lead deployment of consistent supplier quality related policies, processes, and procedures
7. Monitor and communicate supplier performance to all key stakeholders & Business
8. Encourage & implement Continuous Improvement culture at supplier end
9. Identify the risk, conduct risk analysis and work on the action implementation to reduce the risk
10. Trouble shoot flawless problem closures in coordination with global stakeholders
11. Work as liaison between suppliers and internal functions/plants (Engineering, Plants, Operations, etc.) to clarify requirements, eliminate confusion, and improve definition of requirements
12. Understand customer requirement and quick turnaround time on adhoc requests
13. Assist in Supplier quality data analysis and initiate the performance improvement projects at impacting suppliers
14. Lead various improvement projects and act as SPOC for Group, customers & Suppliers
15. Implements measures to improve inspection methods, equipment/tool performance, product quality, efficiency and morale
16. Coordinates and assists with corporate initiatives, participating on teams in order to drive best practices across Eaton sites
17. Implement measures to improve identified issues and engage to achieve Goals for on-time completion
18. Conducting process audits virtually for suppliers where there is gap in QMS adherence. Ensure closure of the open points from Audit by following up with supplier and follow escalation
19. Follow timely escalation of non improving/performing suppliers during the graduation period to the business leads and respective CM
20. Involve in alternate sourcing project from highlighting Risk involved and LL
21. Explore and drive Automation projects to improve Work stream process further
22. Handholding the new joiners upon the WS knowledge and supplier manufacturing processes (reduce onboarding time from 90 days to 60 days)
23. Working on the strategies to expand the WS support to other Business group
24. Be proactive to finalize SQPI suppliers list in alignment with ESA SQ leader by Analyzing the supplier past performance data and identify the right suppliers for Supplier Quality performance improvement program (SQPI) (Work quantum - 10K + Plus suppliers to evaluate with PTDB)
BE in (Electrical & Electronics/Mechanical/Production/Aeronautical/ Industrial Engineering)
Minimum 10 years of experience in Supplier Development and Quality and Manufacturing / or Process Engineering
Experience in working with global suppliers & customers
Working Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as Electrical & Electronics, Sheet Metal, Molding, Casting, Machining, Heat Treatment and Surface treatment is preferred
Competent in problem solving, team building, planning and decision making
Should possess the thorough knowledge of 8D, PPAP and APQP process and have experience in conducting / taking actions from suppliers
Working knowledge of statistical tools including SPC, Gauge R&R and capability analysis
Six Sigma Green belt from recognized certification bodies preferred (ASQ, ISI, etc.)
