The incumbent will lead research and development of advanced Controls solutions for next-generation Data centers. This role supports execution & Development of technology roadmaps, develops prototypes, and drives innovation in power conversion and distribution systems.
Control Design & Development: Develop application software for AC/DC and DC/DC converters, HVDC distribution, and redundant power systems. Implement advanced control algorithms including Droop Control and Virtual Capacitor Control. Utilize Model-Based Development (MBD) using MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow and ensure compliance with MAAB guidelines.
Innovation & Simulation: Research emerging control strategies and integrate solutions into digital twin environments. Perform MIL/SIL validation and support auto-code generation using Embedded Coder.
Compliance & Functional Safety: Ensure adherence to ISO 26262, UL 1998, and relevant standards for functional safety and reliability. Support certification readiness and robust software development processes (CMMI).
Collaboration: Work with global teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to deliver high-quality software solutions. Present compelling technical proposals to secure Eaton's position as a first mover in data center power electronics.
Master's in Control Systems / Embedded / Electronics / Power or equivalent with 8-12 years of experience in HV/LV power converter application software development. Strong expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, MIL/SIL, and auto-code generation. Knowledge of RTOS, CAN/LIN, and tools like CANape, CANalyzer, ClearCase, ClearQuest.
Special Skills: Knowledge of Requirement management tools preferably DOORS, Rhapsody. Knowledge of Reliability for Embedded system Design.
