Eaton's division is currently seeking a Firmware Engineer. The expected annual salary range for this role is $83000 - $122000 a year. Develop solutions for embedded systems and IoT/connected devices related to EV charging infrastructure. Identify and evaluate emerging markets and technologies globally, assist project teams in their search, design, development and industrialization of new innovative products and services, identify technical solutions associated to technical issues found in electronic based products and their applications and assess feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering test/products/equipment. Lead the integration and test activities to connect EV charging network management. Analyze and solve problems found in test/customer site to ensure or even accelerate development progress. Participate in the development, testing and certification for architecture elements of Eaton's EV charging systems. Assist with cybersecurity process for EV CNM and communicate with engineers abroad for project development. Contribute innovation ideas to enhance market penetration and AC charger products firmware quality improvement. Assist with product certification activities acting as the Eaton representative - UL/CSA/OCA. Coordinate with the project activities with other engineering units to facilitate on time project completion.
Requires a Master's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a directly related field plus one (1) year of experience in embedded firmware design in C/C++ and assembly. Experience must include:
