Engineering Assistant

Assist engineers/supervisors in data collection, analysis, and project execution, verify the correct functioning of procedures, keep folders in their area updated, and prepare various reports.

Essential functions:

1. Prepare daily yield reports.

2. Enter scrap tickets from assigned areas. Support in handling and controlling non-conforming products (SCRAP).

3. Collect and enter data related to NS-WIP from assigned areas.

4. Collect data for process capacity analyses performed by engineers.

5. Conduct time and motion studies.

6. Assist in the preparation of manloads and line balancing.

7. Analyze work methods.

8. Conduct ergonomic evaluations.

9. Support in the implementation and maintenance of ELSS/EQMS/MESH/PROLAUNCH tools.

10. Keep work instructions and risk analysis of the task updated.

11. Support in cost reduction projects.

12. Print and post documentation related to ELSS (Balanced chart, VSM, SWL, manload), yield, and scrap graphs.

13. Support in closing actions generated from Lean, EHS, and MOC.

14. Lead the implementation of improvement projects (Kaizen) in assigned areas.

15. Manage and purchase inventory of tools from assigned lines.

16. Support the manufacturing engineer in the implementation of process changes (Change Control).

Responsibilities related to Health, Safety, and Environment (EHS):

1. Attend all assigned Safety, Health, and Environment trainings.

2. Comply with the requirements of 5S/MESH.

3. Responsible for ensuring safety norms and policies established by Eaton.

4. Non-compliance with safety procedures may result in minor accidents and/or injuries depending on the functions.

Qualifications:

1. University student in Engineering or Business Administration with a minimum of 120 approved credits.

2. Basic knowledge of English.

3. Intermediate knowledge of PC: Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

4. Minimum 6 months of experience in the manufacturing area and/or operational support positions.
